A large-size composition by the celebrated sculptor at a spectacular public location
The world-famous artist Bernar Venet’s nearly eight-ton sculptural composition Arcs in disorder: 3 arcs x 4 was installed by EDGE Communications in Budapest in July 2015. The spectacular work was placed for nearly a year in the city center, on a busy public square by the Danube River. The installation of the sculpture was initiated by Art Market Budapest, Eastern Europe’s leading contemporary art fair, with the cooperation of the Municipality of Budapest, and the inauguration ceremony was personally attended by the then 74-year-old master. The installation of such a highly-valued and amazing art piece by a globally admired artist such as Bernar Venet was unprecedented in Budapest and would have been a very special cultural occasion in any city, in any part of the world.
