International traveling exhibition: focus on the youngest generation of Central European
photographers
EDGE Communications puts the spotlight on the outstanding artistic output of a new generation of photo artists from the Visegrad Group countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) along with Serbia, with the intention to further expand cultural cooperation within Central Europe. This traveling exhibition is a unique initiative that showcases a selection of works by recent photography graduates of art academies in the five countries. The show attempts to organize the works of young photographers into a context in which characteristic features that define a specifically Central European approach to global social phenomena emerge from among the national particularities, the differing educational approaches and the individual universes of the creators. The exhibition sponsored by the International Visegrad Fund has been on view at gallery shows in Andorra, Barcelona, Berlin, Bratislava, Brussels, Prague, Rome, Vienna, Warsaw, among others, and has made special appearances at the PHOTO IS:RAEL festival in Tel Aviv and the international photography fair Art Photo Budapest.
