Gergő Ámmer's work amazingly "captures the essence of Attila Feleki's personality"
Our agency fulfilled an honorable and unique assignment by completing the preparation and installation of a memorial statue dedicated to the popular sports manager and patron, Attila Feleki. Following the invitation of a group of artists capable of fulfilling such a task, we selected Gergő Ámmer to create the large-scale public sculpture. The artist graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2017, his artistic approach is based on the classical traditions of sculpture, while his figures are made special by the artist's imagination and creativity, often including unexpected gestures added to the sculpted figure.
According to the artist’s description, “the statue captures the essence of Attila Feleki’s personality: the balance of confidence and humility, the power of generosity and commitment to the community, and the deep love of sports. His appearance radiates nobility and inner strength”. The statue, which stands on a limestone pedestal, is made of bronze, the total height of the work is 3 meters. Attila Feleki's life's work as a businessman, sports leader and public figure left a lasting mark on the history of his town, Kozármisleny, and Hungarian sports life. The ceremonial inauguration of the memorial statue took place on his birthday in Kozármisleny in front of the sports center named after him.
